Blogger's Challenge #97

Good Morning!!
This week's blogger's challenge is to make a card using this sketch. My variation of this card was inspired by my friend Selene Kempton and a card that she made last fall using the Season of Friendship stamp set which I love. I had bookmarked her card and have been wanting to CASE it.
This card would be great with the Branch Out stamp set too.... The colors are great for spring - perfect plum, pale plum and kiwi kiss. The designer paper is from the specialty pack Rockability and has a great sheen to the stripes.

To add some dimension to the leaves, I used crystal effects. I found that the best way to apply crystal effects to a smaller image such as the leaves is to use a toothpick.

I can't wait to see what everyone else did!

Have a great weekend!

Marilyn

What pretty colors and striped paper! Like Selene, this set "grew" on me until I was sad to put it away at the end of Dec. Hoping for a comback! :) Great card!

Marilyn - I love your choice of colors! The card is perfect for the tree set's and I'll have to try using the crystal effects on my leaves. Thanks for the inspiration.
