Technostamper Challenge

So I am going to start making Mary Jo's challenges at www.technostamper.com.
This week I used the Everybunny stamp set and the Floral Frame Framelits.  The cardstock is so saffron, old olive and the Sunshine & Sprakles designer paper on a crumb cake base.

I stamped the bunny on whisper white card stock with Staz-on.  Then I used the watercolor crayons with an aqua painter to color in the bunny.  the Crayons are my favorite way to color in outline stamps!
I tinted a couple of rhinestone pearls with a pink sharpie and added those to the edge of the sentiment to catch the eye.
I cut the bunny and layers out using the Floral Frame Framelits.  To outline the bunny, I cut a flower the same size as the bunny out of old olive.  I cut the flower in half down the middle and layered it under the flower with the bunny to give it a little pop!

Everybunny is definitely my favorite Easter set!!

Have a great day!

Technostamper Challenge #243

Sorry that i have been missing for a couple of weeks.  Life just got in the way of posting.  Please pray for our friends the Marriott Family.  They lost their 19 year old daughter two weeks ago.

So I made a challenge to my group this week.  I wanted to show how one set of papers and one stamp can become totally different cards.  We used Mary Jo's sketch with the Festival of Prints Designer Prints and the Frosty friends stamp.

I selected the baja patterned print on a base of baja breeze cardstock.  It is layered onto cherry cobbler and gumball green cut with the apothecary framelits.  I accented the layer with red glitter brads.
Don't forget to check out what everyone else has created with this sketch.

Christmas Lodge - TSSC 236

Well I had a great time at my Bring Your Own project Night last night!  I have these one Friday night a month.. I was determined to do Mary Jo's sketch challenge and just ran out of time this week.  As soon as I saw this sketch and immediately thought of the Christmas Lodge set.

So... last night - I choose the set Christmas Lodge and decided that I was going to develop some ideas with this set.   I used the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pack which has 12 beautiful patterns of designer paper.  Some beautiful designs in this pack!!

I also have to say that I love the new ink pads.  I am slowly replacing my ink pads and this was the first time that I used the Always Artichoke pad...  Stamps are so much easier to ink with the new design.  It does take some time to develop a little lighter touch inking up the stamp.
So the tree is stamped with always artichoke on very vanilla.  It is layered onto cranberry crisp cardstock and layered onto the houndstooth designed paper from the Festival of Prints designer pack.  The houndstooth design is layered onto a layer of  Early Expresso.  The card base is crumb cake

The ornaments on the tree are pearls that I have colored with a red permanent marker.  I just love this technique.  You can color the pearls or jewels any color with a permanent marker!

I layered the larger pearls on the side onto a 1/4" circle punched from the early expresso cardstock.

I can't wait to see what my other Stampin' Friends have made with this sketch!!

Technostamper Challenge #234 - Halloween

Good Morning!

Playing around with some of the new Halloween items in the Fall catalog.

I love this fall designer paper with the orange and brown plaids!  I see great fall ideas with this paper!

Howlstooth & Scaringbone - what a great name for Halloween paper!

I coordinated this paper with Tangerine Tango, Black and Very Vanilla cardstock to make this card.
I was planning to use my spider web embossing folder for the vanilla piece, but I don't have it with me at my temporary Creative Playground...  So I used the spider web stamp from the retired set Web Wishes!

I used the Toxic Treats set to make the center piece with the headstone.  I stamped the image in black on vanilla cardstock.  I then stamped it a second time in tangerine tango and cut out the headstone to add a little dimension.  I layered this piece onto two pieces of black cardstock that I punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.

Stampin' Tip:  Want to make a layer but don't have two punches in incremental sizes?  Punch the image from the coordinating color twice and layer them slightly off behind your stamped image!

I can't wait to see what other's have done with this challenge this week!!

Technostamper Challenge #233

Good Morning! Yesterday was a good day stampin' wise!  I have been in a little bit of a slump..  Sometimes it is so hard to get motivated!!

Anyway - I loved yesterday's sketch!  I actually started to make the card with one set of designer paper and then ended up making a second card with something totally different..

So the first card is my favorite of the two cards..  But then I always like the white on white or vanilla on vanilla look.  I am loving this new Champaign glitter paper too!  I see that a lot in my future with upcoming Christmas designs!!

Details for this card.  I used vanilla cardstock with a layer of metallic gold cardstock.  I then embossed a layer of vanilla with the new Lacey Brocade embossing folder.  I also embossed two scraps of metallic gold cardstock with the embossing folder.  I layered the two pieces of gold cardstock onto the vanilla.

I embossed two ornaments from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and cut them out with the Famelits Dies.  Did you know that if you purchase the bundle of the stamp set and the framelits - you save 15%.

The ornaments are stamped with gold ink and embossed with gold Embossing Powder.
I used a rhinestone in the center of each ornament to add a little bling.

This is layered onto another piece of vanilla and gold cardstock and then onto the new Champagne glimmer paper!  Of course I used dimensionals to pop the ornaments.
Now for the second card.  I used the same sketch but with Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper.  I love the two window sheets with the flocked brocade pattern that are  in the DSP pack.  As soon as I saw that paper I wondered how it would cut with the Big shot.  So I used the framelit die and cut two ornaments.

I layered these onto two ornaments onto ornaments that I cut from gold cardstock.  I love the candlelight Christmas designer paper.   So two cards, very different made with the same sketch.
Which one do you like best?

Don't forget to check out what my other stamping friends have made with this sketch.
