Fun with my Team

This past Saturday was Stampin'  UP!'s Regional in Providence, RI.  What a great day.  8 members of my team and I went down to Providence for an inspirational day of Stampin'.

This was my card for swapping.  I used the new Halloween Designer paper and the Greeting Card Kids stamp  set.  I love the cute images in this set that can be used for several different occasions.  Of course it was a set that I had to have and then haven't used...  Never enough time.

The image is stamped onto Watercolor paper and then colored with the watercolor crayons.

So I have 30 new ideas for inspiration!!

Here are some of the demo boards with cards and techniques that were on display.

This first display was a sampler of cards that were made using the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Stay tuned for my version of cards with this kit!  I have added a few more embellishments.

This is a pretty set of stationery that was demoed.

I wish that I had taken a picture of my group.

Needless to say, we had a great day!!

Technostamper Challenge #234 - Halloween

Good Morning!

Playing around with some of the new Halloween items in the Fall catalog.

I love this fall designer paper with the orange and brown plaids!  I see great fall ideas with this paper!

Howlstooth & Scaringbone - what a great name for Halloween paper!

I coordinated this paper with Tangerine Tango, Black and Very Vanilla cardstock to make this card.
I was planning to use my spider web embossing folder for the vanilla piece, but I don't have it with me at my temporary Creative Playground...  So I used the spider web stamp from the retired set Web Wishes!

I used the Toxic Treats set to make the center piece with the headstone.  I stamped the image in black on vanilla cardstock.  I then stamped it a second time in tangerine tango and cut out the headstone to add a little dimension.  I layered this piece onto two pieces of black cardstock that I punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.

Stampin' Tip:  Want to make a layer but don't have two punches in incremental sizes?  Punch the image from the coordinating color twice and layer them slightly off behind your stamped image!

I can't wait to see what other's have done with this challenge this week!!

Halloween Fun - Bring Your Own Project Night Fri.

Friday night is Bring Your Own Project NIght.  I have lots of great Halloween ideas for some last minute gifts and packaging.

I just love this Halloween idea.  I found this on Vicki Burdick's website. Vicki made a Halloween favor box.
I used the idea and made a box to cover a tissue box...

I just love this idea!!

Stop by on Friday night!

My Featured Stamper of the Week

A couple of weeks ago, I add a feature Stamper of the Week to my weekly newsletter.   I have been showcasing a card or project that one of my downline or customers has made.

My featured stamper this week is Jenni Muse.  Jenni is a freshman in high school and has been a student of mine since she was in second grade?  Wow!!

Jenni is very artistic and makes lovely items.  I love this Halloween frame that she made last Friday at my Bring Your Own Project night.  Jenni has made several of these frames.  One for spring, one for summer with her name and then this one.

She used the new Halloween paper from the fall mini catalog called Pick your poison.  She also used the retired stamp set Spooktackular Greetings which is one of my all time favorite Halloween sets!  It is actually a stamp set that I purchased before I was demonstrator.

Enjoy!

Fall cards and ideas from my weekend retreat!

Sorry for the delay in posting.  I cannot find the charger for my camera so am going to load the pictures that I have for now and will load more later after I get my camera charged again...

Well, we had a great weekend on the Cape.  The creative juices were flowing and I know I came back very inspried!!

These are a couple of really neat Halloween cards that Nancy, my downline made for a class that she was teaching...

I love the look of these cards!  The images on both cards is embossed.  On the haunted house, Nancy used bleach on the moon and windows to get the lighter cardstock.  On the tree she used water with reinkers to make the haunted background.

The next card is a one that Deanna designed as she was playing with the lattice Big Shot die.  If you know Deanna you know that she is also a quilter and makes custom quilts for people.  I love this card with it's quilted look!

The third card is one that Deanna made with the Owl punch.  What a great card!  I do love this Owl punch!

We had such a great time this weekend!  It was very inspirational to be with my creative friends.  The juices were flowing!  Stay tuned for some more cards and ideas that we designed over the weekend!

Interested in joining us on our next weekend?  The next weekend away will be in the spring!

Blogger's Challenge & Halloween

Good Morning,

This week Blogger's Challenge is to post something using black, orage and white..  Well - this weekend is my weekend on the Cape with my downline...  We always have a great time!  So my goal this weekend is to profile each of my downline members.  And....  Jeanne Nielsen is one of my downlines and just happened to have a Halloween themed event this week.  I actually did not have a chance to attend her event but saw these end projects after the fact.

For those of you that are regular followers of the Blogger's Challenge - you know that Jeanne's work is excellent and very detail oriented!  I absolutely love these projects!

I really can't tell you which of the projects is my favorite...  the first project is a beautiful card made with a great all purpose set - Greeting Card Kids.  She used the Halloween designer paper - Wicked Cool Specialty.   The second card and the candy holder are made with the Wicked cool stamp set. The candy holder is made with the Big shot tag die which has been folded to make the candy holder.

The two little boxes in the fourth picture are made with the candy wrapper die from the mini catalog.  For the orange box - Jeanne cut off the bottom of the candy wrapper to make a box.

What a great job Jeanne did!

Stay tuned.  I will post other work from other members of my downline throughout the weekend!

Don't forget to check out all of my blogger's friends!

more Halloween Houses

What a great time yesterday!!   I had a Sunday fall workshop.  3 people made Halloween Houses.  Each one came out very haunting and very different.  I really love the current Halloween Designer papers!

Corine made the first house using the Wicked Fun designer paper from the catalog.

The ghosts on all of the houses are the Owl punch out of white cardstock with the feet cut off.  It makes such a great ghost!!  The bats are the Bat punch in the catalog.
I love the second house made with the purple stripped paper from the same Wicked Fun Designer paper set.  This house Stephanie and her daughter Jenny made.   To make the windows, Jenny ran pumpkin pie cardstock through the Big Shot with the grain texture plate.  she used a little brown ink on the plate add the wood grain effect!

The third house was made by my Sister-in-law Sarah also using the same designer paper.  She used the razzleberry stripes on the front of the house and the razzleberry piece with the flocked bats for the sides of the house.  What a great look!

Each house was great and the husbands had fun watching football!!  and the Pats even won!  So the whole house was happy other than the teen that hadn't finished her homework...  But are teens every happy???

Have a great week!  I have 2 houses left to make so stop by on a Wed. or to my next Bring Your Own project night on Oct. 8th!

A great weekend for the New England StampINKers

We had a such a great time this weekend on the Cape. My Stampin' Family and I went down for a weekend of Stampin' & Scrappin' fun and a little training thrown in for a couple of new members. I think that even us old stampin' dogs learned a new technique or two!

If you have been thinking about becoming a Stampin' Up! demo, there is no better time!! we will be having another retreat in April!

This is an example of a Halloween Wiper Card that we made. The card was designed by Dawn Burke - who as you can see is very talented!

I hope to see you soon!

blogger's challenge meets Halloween

Good Morning!

This week's blogger's challenge is to alter something.

These are everyday peppermint patties that I have altered for Halloween. I love these cute little spiders for halloween!

I can't wait to check out what everyone else has done.

Marilyn

Here is another Halloween sample made with the Sweet Centers set and plastic cups to hold candies. My downline Jeanne came up with the design with the trap door for the inside to get the candy out without taking the card apart!

These are the cute boxes that we made with the matchbox die and Halloween Designer Paper. They came out sooooo cute!!

Julia Gouviea, one of my teen students made the two boxes with the desinger paper. The RIP box uses the medallion stamp with basic gray Cardstock.

Blogger's Challenge

Blogger's Challenge Week 70.

This week's challenge was to make something that we would give as a gift. Over the past couple of weeks I have made the following items for Halloween treats.

The orange box in the back is made with the Eat Drink and Be Scarry stamp set and is inspired by a box that Toni Tessler had on her site a couple of weeks ago. The green box was inspired by a Halloween card that I received at convention this summer as a swap. What a great box it makes too! It is made with all punches.

The smaller box in the front is made with the tag punches and the booglie eyes set. What a cute set!

Enjoy and have a great Halloween everyone!
