Blogger's challenge & Card share

This week Blogger's Challenge is anything with a Mother's Day theme. This week I decided to showcase the work of my Stampin' Friends that came over for my technique class last night. The class was on making quilted cards.

These cards were made using the quiliting technique with Raspberry Tart paper by Karyn Gouviea. She choose the flowers from the Eastern Blooms stamp set on the quilted top note piece. She used versamark and clear embossing powder to emboss the flower and give it a very pretty finished look!
We had our monthly get together of the New England StampINKers (my Stampin' Family) on Wed. We of course had a lot of fun sharing ideas and showing off our latest creations. If you are interested in joining the fun, Stampin' Up! is offering a Scrapbooking starter kit for $75 for the month of May only, in celebration of National Scrapbooking Day!
We have a great time! We meet monthly and then have two girl's retreats to Cape Cod each year!
The Card with the watercolored roses was made by my sideline Karen Gagnon using the new watercoloring technique that we have all been playing with!
The Flower Pot card was made by my downline Michele LaCerda. Michele is actually the person that first introduced me to stamping and has taught me most everything that I know!! About a year after I signed up you signed as a demo and we are both going strong! This is probably one my all time favorite designer paper patterns that we have carried.
The last card was made by my Stampin' Friend Cindy Wilford. I had not seen this idea before and love the way she made the ice cream cone from the scallop punch. The Jimmies are just tiny scraps of CS!
Enjoy the weekend!

I love the extra touch that the ribbon gives to the quilted cards. And of course, the watercolored roses are fabulous! I'll have to CASE that ice cream cone for my grandson's birthday this month.
