Floral Wreath

I was watching Marth Stewart last week and saw this idea for a Floral Wreath.  So I used the idea to make a Floral Wreath using the Flower die #2 and making paper carnations using the scallop circle punch.

The base of the wreath is made by cutting a large circle and cutting another circle around it so you have a 3/4" circle with the center cut out.  I then made flowers using the Flower die #2 from the Shades of Spring designer paper.  I crinkled the flowers to give them dimension and used a gold brad in the center to hold the flower together.

To make the carnations - punch 3 scallop circles.  Crumple up the cardstock and unfold it.  You cannot crumple it too much!  YOu want to break down the fibers in the cardstock so you can then peel back the layers.  So you will then have 6 scallop circles.  I used a gold brad to put the layers together.  Then fold up the paper and crinkle it some more to look like a carnation.  You can then use a dauber to add some ink to the edge of the flowers.

I love these little carnations!
