Blogger's Challenge Week #50

Happy Rainy Day!! I know that we need the rain but 3 days is too much!!

The challenge for this week is white & black. I have a couple of cards for this challenge. I started working on one idea and then had another. So I made 2 cards for this challenge. After that, I pulled out the card that I made for my friend's 50th Birthday which is technically gray - but that is a shade of black!

The first card with the lighthouse uses the set "A Light unto my Path". I used the paper piecing technique to layer the lighthouse. The white background is embossed using the Cuttlebug and the Mesh embossing folder.

The second card is made with the Morning Soft stamp and the stitched background. the morning glory is also layered using the paper piecing technique.

This is the Birthday card that I made for my friend Michele. This card uses the Charbon designer paper and Stitched exotics stamp set.

Have a great weekend! It is supposed to be 90 here this weekend!! Yeah!! Beach here we come!

The paper piecing is so subtle but effective! I like the combination of stamps on the second card, too!

Girl, you take the prize this week for the number of cards posted for a challenge. They are all great cards, same color, but so different in all the right ways!

Beautiful cards Marilyn!! I hope that you are doing well..............

Tell hubby I tried to recreate those margaritas, but they still didn't hold a candle to the ones he made!
