This week is the 97th Birthday of the Girl Scout Organization. My daughter Emily has been a scout now since Kinergarten so this is her eighth year!
Sunday our "neighborhood" celebrated International Day which is an annual event held each year for GS Birthday. Each troop chooses a country to research and then presents that country to the other troops. There were 14 troops that choose countries this year and about 20 troops that visited the booths.
Emily and Jenna Troop 485 decided to study Eithiopia...
They served Eithiopian fruit punch - made with 5 different fruit juices. It was very good! And they served a vegatable dish made with sweet potatoes, white potatoes, corn and coconut milk.
The day was a great success!
