The Wish Project in Lowell, MA - Help me support them

For the past couple of years, I have been doing work with the Wish Project in Lowell, MA. Are you interested in papercrafting and like to help out the Wish - book a party or place an order and I will donate 10% of the proceeds from your party or order back to the Wish Project! Contact me and mention this web link.

The Wish is a furniture bank that collects used but useable household items for needy families. They work with local case workers to help people that are moving from homeless shelters get the items they need to setup an apartment or house. All the things that we take for granted every day.

In the past year, 2008, the Wish helped more than 27,000 needy kids and families to get furniture, baby gear, backpacks, clothing, appliances, computers, diapers and more. The need was 300X greater in 2008 compared to 2007. They now assist more than 1,000 clients/month. They do not provide services - but supply goods to the more than 120 homeless shelters, elder services, early intervention and other social service agencies in the region.

The Wish leverages every $1 donated into $4.50 in value of goods out They are dedicated to working with social services and to cost efficiently help clients succeed in whatever challenges they face. For more information on the Wish Project or other ways that you can help out, visit their website at www.lowellwishproject.org.

Lowell, MA huh? Wow it's a small world. My husband was born there and his Grandparents lived there for many years. Whoever thought I would have to become a Bloggin Star to meet someone from "home".
